Im going to NYC tomorrow and I want to get to Canal St/Chinatown via the subway. Which subway should I get on? -

I looked at like, a hundred maps and i m extremely confused!

Before I can tell you which subway to ride, it would be helpful to know where you are starting from.

Well, that depends on what part of Manhattan you re in.If you re on the west side, you can take the A , C , E , N , R Q or W train (Blue and Orange Line on the subway map) to Canal Street. You can also take the #1 train (Red Line) to Canal Street. If you re on the east side, you can take the #6 train (Green Line) to Canal Street.I hope this information is very helpful.Good luckNative New Yorker

Funny...I guess if you are not used to the great subway system of ours, it can seem confusing. Subways run 25 hours, 7 days a week. Canal Street/Chinatown is available by many subway lines. The best one is the R, W, N, Q and 6 train because they drop you in the heart of chinatown. You can take B/D train to Grand Street or the A/C/E to Canal Street (closer to the west side). Have a great time in Chinatown! Hope this helps.www.lirr.org for subway maps.
