Moving to san francisco question? -

do you need a professional job or some kind of college degree in order to have a comfortable living in san francisco?

The figures I ve seen said that in order to live in SF the minimum salary is $45,000 per year. You can do it for less if you share housing, do not own a car and don t splurge too often.Unemployment in SF is higher than the national average so if you don t have a job or are not a self employed professional now is not a good time to move here. Many of the jobs that are open to folks with college degrees are taken and employers are offering less money than previously for new hires.

You need lots of money to live comfortably in San Francisco. A low end studio apartment will cost you $1,000 per month. If you can get a job in the Central Valley, salaries will be lower but the cost of living more than offsets it and you can travel to the bay area on your days off.

Yes.Though it would really depend on your personal definition of comfortable and your intended lifestyle.

California has the second highest unemployment rate in the country. You ll be VERY lucky if you can find any kind of job.

you could always squat
