If you are only looking to sleep in the room, IE, you don t care about alot of amenities or luxury accommodations, I would stick to Motel 6 as they are comfortable and cheap but not fancy. They are all over so you should see plenty of them along your trip. You can always go online to check out locations or get a guide at any location:http://www.motel6.com/Gas prices range greatly but I think the national average is $2.60/gal. You can check this site as it narrows it down by area. Go for local places rather than chains as you pay extra for clean bathrooms, squeegees and water, etc...http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleumEating out will vary depending if you want fast food or sit down. If you go to restaurants like Denny s and Applebee s, etc then I would say you could get away with $20 + tip for lunches and dinners, provided you get only entrees, no salads, desserts or drinks. Stick to water in restaurants as a soda or iced tea is like $2 each. If you aren t sure about prices, then ask to see a menu before you are seated, most places have no problem with that.

I need some help and/or advice for a trip to the USA? -
We are coming to the USA in March. Flying to New York and then working our way to Nashville for a George Thorogood concert. We are then going to New Orleans and Memphis. Any advice on good cheap accommodation. Could anybody tell us also, how much are motorway toll charges incase we hire a car, the price of petrol and the average cost of eating out. Any other advice would be welcome.Thank you.
