Does anybody have tips for finding a place to live in Berlin? -

I m going to Berlin in October and need a place to live there for the academic year. I m a grad student and don t have a lot of money, so it should be cheap, but not dangerous or gross, either. Anybody have suggestions on where to look?

From my recent experiences, I think the best way to go is Craigslist. A lot of people don t realize that its international, and not just a USA site. I don t find Germans attractive
