I m considering a job/relocation in Eugene, Oregon. I enjoy being near or in the Asian communities of the area I live. I currently live in Dallas, Tx which has a really great variety of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese communities spread through out the metroplex. I ve searched online but all I get are hits for Japantown/Chinatown in Portland which is a bit of a let down if Eugene doesn t have a good saturation of cultural mix outside of international students. Any information and links would be awesome. Thanks!
There is an Asian Celebration thing (It s semi big), I don t know if I got the name right. There s also a Japanese-Immersion school called Yujin Gakuen, Kelly MS and North High continue teaching Japanese. Otherwise, a lot of people there who are Asian seem to be South Koreans. I don t know, I don t live in Eugene. But I m sure there are Asians there so you could start a community if there isn t one already.
