West is far more beautiful. Mountains (not those hills the east likes to call mountains), volcanoes, redwoods, beaches, alpine rainforests, actual nature and wildlife. The east is all buildings and cities and likes to pretend that it s outdoorsy when it s far from it
Nothing beats the West Coast. Why stop at Washington though? Go up to British Columbia! Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands (Canadian San Juans) are incredible - sea kayaking with killer whales and bald eagles is pretty great. And why stop there? Alaska is the West Coast too!
Tough call. I have seen both. The most beautiful spots to me in the west are north of California in Oregon, Washington and Alaska. In the east it is the New England coast line. Both are beautiful.
East coast for sure! Especially in the fall! We have the best foliage!
