Where can I get a copy of my birth certificate the cheapest? -

Does anyone know where I can get my birth certificate for the least amount of money? I was born in Hoffman Estates, IL and I now live in Palatine. Is there a cook county office? Does anyone know how much it would be to buy it from the office or where the office is? Or is there anywhere online that is like $10? Any help from anyone would be helpful. thanks.

As you re in the northern suburbs, you can use one of the Cook County Clerk s satellite offices in either Rolling Meadows or Skokie rather than heading into the city. The cost is $15 for the first copy then $4 for every additional one. Even if you only need a single copy, I would suggest getting at least one additional for future use at the 44 rate. The birth certificate is on file at the Cook County courthouse at 118 N. Clark Street. The cost was minimal.
