Where should I move in vermont? -

Im 24yrs old, engaged to my beautiful fiance, and have a one year old baby boy. I live in connecticut and hate it. I want to move to Vermont but my main concern of course is paying the mortgage. What town in VT can I move but be able to find work, a good elementary school, and some ppl my age. I visit Wilmington, vt regularly and was thinking of moving to brattleboro. I hear there is a community college around which is great; i dont have many skills and currently work doing security. I am heading towards a degree in counseling but not far along enough work in that field besides being a counselor s aide.

Burlington or one of it s surrounding communities would probably be the best fir for you. UVM and other colleges are in the area, and since it is VT s largest city, it would probably be you best bet at finding work. Great city with lots of younger people.

your best choice might be burlington for jobs, schools, and people close to your age---BUT the catch about living in burlington (or vermont) is that jobs are very few and living costs are pretty high--also, most of the people are either college kids, ski bums, hippies and white trash---i vive near by in maine and know vermont very well...you might want to consider portland, maine--i know alot of vermonters who moved here to get away from vermont

These are the top five cities in Vermont for families to live in. Burlington, Washington, Brattleboro, Bennington, Albany. I would do research on these five and see which one you like the best.
