Hotel check in scenario? -

Ok, so we re under 21 (two of us are 16) planning to go to a business convention in Austin TX. The hotel we are wanting to stay in is 21 check in age. We have a 29 year old friend who can use his card and check us into the hotel, but we would be the only guests actually using the room. The hotel is Wyndham. Is this allowed? They have wet bars in the rooms but we re not going to consume anything in it whatsoever.

Technically, yes you can get away with this. However, if any incidentals are placed on the room, your friend who is the credit card holder will be responsible for them. Don t cause any attention to be drawn to you (by being loud) and you should be fine.

You could probably get your parents to pre-pay for the room. Why don t you contact the Wyndham directly and ask their about their check-in policy. I m sure they re happy to have the business.
