Has anyone moved from ny to florida after being in ny all their lives.? -

We have the oppurtunity to relocate to florida with our 2 teenage kids for possible new job just want to know if making correct move lots of not sures.

I just recently moved to FL after living in MI for 13 years, and my life down here is definitely different. I m probably not too much older than your kids, so I can understand your concern for them. It can be tough making new friends, I ve been here for about a month and I don t really know a ton of people, but it s ever improving. I don t know how the economy is doing in NY, but there are jobs to be had down here (obviously you have the one you re considering moving for, but when your kids get out of HS, depending on how far off that is it could be nice for them). It s definitely going to be a major adjustment temperature-wise here, it was in the 80s and very humid today. Best to move in the winter though so there is time to adjust.
