Who and what went on in the boston tea party? -

In short, The British crown levied a tax on tea. Well, that wasn t too popular with Bostonians who hated the idea that somebody overseas was making them pay a tax so, after local officials (Governor Hutchinson) nixed the idea of sending it back, a bunch of the locals brewed one huge salty cup of pekoe (342 chests worth) in the harbor to protest.
