Is there a designated smoking area at the San Jose airport? -

Where is it?! They keep saying to not smoke anywhere except the smoking sections, but where the **** are they? I looked for a straight hour and couldn t find it...

In the A terminal there used to be a smoking area in a glass room. It may be gone now. I think the C terminal you have to go out onto the observation deck outside by the tarmac. That may have since vanquished too. Im glad I don t have that problem anymore. I miss smoking and all, but quiting has a lot more perks than not, especially since public ordinances have all but banned smoking anywhere in public. Seems to make quiting easier in the long run.

If you are inside the gate area, there is no longer a smoking area. You can go out of the gate area, through security, walk over the breezeway (if you are in terminal A), and through the doors that lead to the short term parking. I believe they have smoking receptacles right by the door there. The downside to this is the need to go back through security to get back to the gates. So unless you have a pretty long layover, you won t have time. You can also go down to baggage claim and slip out the door to the curbside, but again, you will need to go back through security.

You can t smoke at the airport. Thank goodness it s smoke free!

This is why I miss Europe...I smoked while waitin for my planes...:) yay!
