Actually neither, both are alright, it depends on where you visit. Houston definitely has its awesome parts, Birmingham they hung the governor, so it can t be that bad. When it comes to ugly cities if you were going for one in Texas in would probably be in Cactus country, far west Texas. Alabama is just another fine southern state, we love all of them.
In general, Birmingham but Houston has some really rough seedy areas and a lot of Houston has old outdated infrastructure, but they also some modern areas in Houston. They re both not as good as they could be and have a lot of areas that need to be cleaned up yet such areas are generally ignored by the local governments.
Not sure which is worse ? Birmigham had it s days..^^ I think Birmingham has become ugly,not that it ever was pretty either. It just seems dead and run down and somewhat ghostly.Let s say both..
