Could I connect easily in NYC? -

I was born and raised in Minneapolis / Saint Paul, Minnesota. I grew up with Nice Guy syndrome, probably fairly common in the midwest. I m overcoming that syndrome right now in adulthood, I m almost 26. I ve never been to the east coast.Relatively few people in Minnesota are very direct with you, which is pretty inconvenient. Do people in big cities along the east coast tend to have higher expectations from people? I ve grown pretty confident at this point in my life. I m not a pushover anymore, I know I wouldn t take any crap from people it s just connecting with people that might be an issue.

You wrote, Could I connect easily in NYC? No.NYers are notoriously distant and stand-offish and cautious and wary with strangers, especially chatty ones with Nice Guy Syndrome, sorry. We re actually very friendly when we re properly introduced to someone, but we are VERY cautious and distant with strangers.Good luck, and the link below is to a webpage about how NYers may sometimes SEEM rude when we really aren t at all...

Stay in Minneapolis..... Mr Nice Guy Syndrome few people in Minnesota are very direct with you higher expectations connecting with people What are you talking about? You sound like a very insecure person.

Well I don t really understand what do u mean. But people in NYC do communicate a lot, but only if u know them. If u try to start to talk with people and they r nice. There r all kinds of people in NYC, the kind, and the mean. Good luck!
