If I book a hotel for my 17 year old can he check himself in? Or does he need someone over the age of 18 there?

Just ask the hotel when you call to book the room...

It doesnt matter if someone else books a motel room, anyone under the age of 18 may not register for a motel room, By signing into a register, they are signing a contract, which is against the law for minor age children to do. The chain I work for has a age limit of 21.

Yes he can. Some hotels ask that you pay in full beforehand and sign a form to undertake any additional expense that he may incur during the stay. Having done these, he can just check himself in and out.

As all the answers before mine indicate it will be the hotel policy. But you will definitely be asked to arrange a guarantee on your credit card or post othr security. You need to call to learn of any other arrangements that the hotel demands

you should call the hotel and double check but i THINK if you leave them a specific name and tell them he will be checking in and that he is your son and so on, they wont have a problem with it.

I don t understand why you don t call the hotel for a definitive answer.
