Because that is why they come out here. They do not come for the outdoors. Either it is too hot or cold windy.
I agree with you. I always go sightseeing when I m in Las Vegas. I enjoy Red Red Canyon and Valley of Fire State Park for viewing nature. Hoover Dam was also interesting to visit. If I m on the strip, I m either going to the Wildlife Habitat at The Flamingo or at The Secret Garden, The Conservatory at The Bellagio, and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage. I enjoy seeing wildlife as well as nature. I not much into gambling, and I can do that close to home. I can also shop close to home, so I haven t spent much time at Fashion Show Mall.
I have plenty of spectacular scenery near me, and come to Vegas to shop, relax at the pool, see some shows, etc. The last thing I want to do is get back in a car and drive around to see more scenery. If I wanted to do that, I would choose a desination other than Vegas. It s just not what I come to Vegas to do, and not how I m interested in spending my time in Vegas.
People come to Vegas to enjoy the unbiance, day and night. You can go to several casinos, gamble, drink, enjoy the shops and other features like museum, etc. I do agree visitors miss the best of Vegas away from the tourist areas like Las Vegas Springs Preserve, Red Rock Canyon, etc. But Vegas is know for the Strip!!!!!
i always recommend to people that they make roadtrips mduring the day..one of my favorite places is Valley Of Fire State Park--great place to cure a hangover from the night before...you can explore the strip all night, make roadtrips during the day--otherwise Vegas would get boring quick
People come to Vegas to do what they can t do at home. The fact that the strip is world famous and so massive that people do not have time to do the outlying areas especially if this is their first few times here. It may take many trips before they feel the need to expand out away from the strip.
Because there is virtually a sensory overload. People forget that there are many things in the area because they get caught up in the experience that is Las Vegas. Personally, I prefer to hang by a pool during the day because it s just too hot to do anything else.
They are just too lazy to get up and smell the roses. I believe that the visitors to Las Vegas are just dazzled by lights and loud noise. These people do not care about the environment. They think of their time in LV as a rut season.
Because the strip is beautiful? There are plenty of things to see during the day, like the fountains at Bellagio.
why go anywhere else? you can see all that and more on the strip!
Because they might run into us!
