NY: 1st HOV lane violation? -

i got a ticket last week for driving in the hov lane alone. It was purely unintentional though. I was in the left lane (before it turns into the hov lane on the Long Island Expressway) and because of the bumper to bumper traffic and driving behind 16 wheelers (couldn t /didn t see the signs), i forgot to switch over....i wasn t even 30 into the hov lane before i was pulled overoh and to add 2 cherries on the cake, the cop gave me 2 separate equipment (tints) tickets...fawk!does anyone know if you get points on your license for your 1st hov offense? I m gonna plead not guilty and present my case to the judge anyways..do i have a case?I already got the tints removed so im hoping the equipment violations would be dismissed...
