i ve lived in nyc my whole life but then i moved away for college. now i m back in the city and i cannot express how much more happy i am being back because there is no other place (except for maybe LA and tokyo) that is as exciting and entertaining. after my experienced in faraway land during college, i cannot imagine how boring life is in those quiet suburban towns...actually i can imagine it, i ve endured it during college.
Lived in NYC almost all my life, good memories. However, it reached a point for me where it became annoying; i.e, crowds, noise, high sales tax, packed buses/subways, apts. no bigger than a closet. On 9/11 I virtually ran out of my shoes-I commuted into NYC via PATH, worked a few blocks from the WTC, heard both planes hit, saw the North Tower out of my office window in leaping flames and a gaping hole. That did it. It took me a few years, but I cleared out.I truly don t knock NYC for those who love living there-but for myself I didn t like the feeling of being locked in. Manhattan s an island-heaven forbid something happens again, and I hope not; however, there s virtually no escape. Bridges, tunnels and ferries would probably go on lockdown.
Sorry, but it s quite the opposite for me. I came here over 30 years ago, and loved it so much I ve stayed and made NYC my home. I love it here. Couldn t see living anywhere else.
Well after a day I realised it s no longer the exciting, edgy city I was lead to believe, but is now full of yuppies and people who like extras from Friends
I live in Upstate NY. I love it here. Other than the copious amounts of snow I get delivered every winter. I have been here off and on for 20+ Years
You know, it seems to me that New York is way overrated. Personally, I would much rather go to L.A. or Bangkok or Tokyo.
my whole life, nonetheless seeing on my way to work celebrities sometimes walk down the street is a NY moment.
Can t say I felt that way at all. New York was everything I d hoped it would be and more!
New York City is the best
I lived here all my life and I am stuck here. Its not bad though.
nope i can not wait to move there when i turn 18!
Never. I ve been 15 months here.
