The Intrepid is AWESOME!! You ve gotta check it out; but use the Subway walking to all that stuff in 7 hours is impossible. If you do Empire State Building, Times Square, CP, and an art museume or two you ll be out of time before you realize it!

College trip? I didn t know Manhattan could be spelled wrong 3 different times in the same conversation. You should vote me the Best Answer, even though I am busting on your spelling...just because I ll tell you how to see some celebrities in NY. Go to the Ed Sullivan Theater any weeknight around 530pm and you will see Letterman s guests on his show. They dont tape on Fridays I think. You can tell friends who u saw when you get back
There are many wonderful places to see and things to do, you can t do it all in 6 hours. However, you can buy a fun pass for about $6.00 and ride the buses up and down Manhattan all day on that one pass. That s the cheapest way to get around. Been there done that.
I would just do the hop on and off bus tour.We just got back from NYC about 3 months ago and I m definitely going back! We were there for 3 days, but I think 5 days should be enough. Get the 3+ day NewYorkPass, it will save you a lot of money! http://www.newyorkpass.com/ -- there s a map and things to do..
You can head over to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree.I hope this information is very helpful.Good luck
