What kind of big game is in alaska? -

There is lots of game in Alaska, but you will need to do your research. Non-residents have limited and specific hunting regulations, and the regs in Alaska are by region, so you will need to know where you want to go and what you are going for. then check with the state regs and see if you can and what fees you will need to pay. Also hunting is only allowed during specific seasons. You will need a non-resident license and then the appropriate tags for the game you want, also double check and make sure a non-resident can even hunt in the area your thinking about hunting in. And for some types of game you are not allowed to hunt for it without an Alaskan guide or Alaskan family member taking you. Here is some info from the Alaska Fish and Game web site FAQ s------- Do I Need a Big Game Tag?Resident Licensee: Yes, if you plan to hunt brown/grizzly bear, or a cow/bull musk ox.Nonresident Military Licensee: Yes, if you plan to hunt brown/grizzly bear, goat (free), bull musk ox, or sheep (free).
