Anyone else think that Boots amp; Kimos has horribly rude and obnoxious service? -

The food is great, the service is the worst i ve ever experienced. I went there with 4 other people and was told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. 30 minutes later I asked them when we could expect to be seated. They immediately got defensive and said that they don t know and that they can t make people leave their table after they re done! Then I found out that we had to wait longer because the waiter never got our order while we were outside waiting to get in! WTF, as if it s our fault he skipped us.

ABSOLUTELY. I won t go back. Similar problem to yours. The first time I thought maybe it was a fluke and I thought I would try one more time, but the second time to be called a katong by the hostess, well, I just won t go back.I think in general people in Hawaii are actually MORE considerate than other places, but there is definitely a set of people that like to do the power trip .

Good customer service is not really a local cultural value in Hawaii. In other words, we can t assume that everybody thinks it is important. After I d been here a few years, I d just stare cluelessly at the people who were complaining along with everybody else.
