What is a good neighborhood in Orlando, FL to live in for a middle class family with kids? -

We have been thinking really hard about moving to the Orlando, Florida area for a while now. I have heard Hunters Creek is very nice but expensive to buy a home or rent an apartment/condo. Let me know especially if you currently live there, give me as much information as you can about the Orlando area.

good afternoonI have been living in the Winter Park college park area for 22 years. I have 2 kids ages 3 and 7. the area is very safe and a lot of the the home in this area are solid block. there is shopping churches schools as well. the downtown college park area is like a sleepy town with nice small shops restaurants and more. your very close to Downtown area and close to the local attractions. the average home price is from mid 150 s and up. if I can be of anymore assistance please contact me thru my profile.

My in-laws live in Ocoee, FL and they love it. They used to live in Winter Park - and said it was very nice as well. I think both of these have good schools. Ocoee is about 30-45 min away from Disney. There is a new really nice shopping area off of 429 (the toll road). It s the W. Colonial Drive exit. Has Target, Party City, Coldwater Creek, Barnes Nobel, JoAnn s, and a whole bunch of other stores resturants. You might some apartments near there. Below is the Target s address - try searching near it or by that zip code.New Target off of 429:7501 W Colonial DrOrlando, FL 32818Sorry I can t give you more info. I don t live down there - I just know where they live and that they really like it. :) Good luck.

It is hard to beat the UCF area on the east side. There are neighborhoods in all price ranges and the schools my kids go to are A rated.
