When is southeast michigan expected to get accumulative snow? -

I m so sick of being teased by the weather people. They keep saying This will be our first accumulative snow, we promise! . That s what they kept saying about Wednesday and we re only expecting maybe five inches.. if that. My science teacher said that we are just starting late and are going to get a lot of snow this winter, whether it s now or later. So basically I want to know if we are expecting a lot of accumulative snow this winter.. or just a cruddy cold and dry one... Thanks :)

If you want ALOT of snow, go live on the west-side of Michigan..i.e. Grand Rapids, Grand haven, Maskeegon etc..I currently live here, and there s alot of lake-effect snow.

I remember when I lived in Ypsilanti, I d see the weather reporters predicting massive snowfalls every other day, and we d usually get maybe a half-inch dusting at most. The Detroit area usually doesn t get but three feet of snow all winter, though back in January 99, we got almost that much in one night and an inch a day for the next two weeks straight. We re getting some noticeable snowfall around Traverse City and Kalkaska now.

supposedly Tuesday night /Wednesday AM for the 1st accumulative snowfall watch this weather radar http://radar.weather.gov/radar_lite.php?

you want a lot of snow go to the west side of the state north west michigan could get up to 20 inches of snow Grand Rapids could get a foot of snow.

no can really answer this question. its michigan and if you are from here you know that the weather changes with a blink of an eye. it will be here soon just wait.

Febuary 10

Anytime between December and March would be my guess.

By the looks of things out my window...we should have some accumulative snow on the ground by Wednesday morning!
