What can you do INSIDE the Roosevelt hotel NYC for 10 days? -

My cousin is going to New York for a rhinoplasty and she s asked her brother and I to come with her. The surgeon told her that day 7 is when they d take the stitching and the nose cast off and day 8 is when they ll take the rest of the bandages off. She plans to stay at indoors till day 10 AND we have to stay in New York for 5 weeks because she doesn t want people from home to know she had a rhinoplasty straight away. We re staying at roosevelt and it s expensive (and it was the LEAST expensive when we were booking)! The expense doesn t annoy me that much, its just that none of us have ever been to NYC and it seems like such a waste of time to stay indoors for 10 days doing nothing. If we were at home it d be different. What are some things you could do indoors at Roosevelt? Im not very internet savvy and I ve been on their website and I can t find anything. What can you do there? Spas? I wouldn t complain if they had one of those.

I actually stayed there a few weeks ago, there is a 24hr gym but we only used the hotel as a base and take note although there is a starbucks in the bar you can only get take out to your room untill 11 am. Grand central is less than 2 min walk form the hotel and has plenty of food places there, you are also only 10 mins from time sq and rocafella cantre so you must go to the vewing platform top of the rock for the best ever view of the city. they dont seem to have pay per view movies in the rooms either, its good as a base but would suggest if your not going out then take a book or something

Based on the site, there isn t anything to do except the pool and if you re going any time soon, it will be too cold. There is a bar and restaurant and some sort of lounge/bar but you didn t say how old everyone. There is also a fitness center.http://www.theroosevelthotel.com/About/

Venture outside. You are across the street from Grand Central Terminal., within a good walk of the Empire State Building, Timew Square, MOMA, and many other sites and attractions.
