Ever have to cancel a trip/vacation at the last minute? -

If so, tell us the story...

One of my indoor cats got outside and she was hiding. I refused to leave her and we cancelled a trip to NY City and a concert to try to get her in.We ended up trapping her in a humane trap my neighbor gave me about a week later. She had lost about 30% of her weight and was very frightened. The only good thing that came out of it is that the cat was never nice to my husband. She was always swatting at him he walked by. He was the one that brought her inside and ever since then she s loved him.

My mother had to cancel her trip to FLA last year. Although she had only booked a flight. She was staying with a friend. She had also purchased the travel insur for $25.00.I almost cancelled one this year but I got the travel agent to comply with what I wanted. So in my mothers case--she canceled her flight. Jet Blue or Delta. The airline gave her 1 year to make up the flight. She missed the date by 3 weeks and didn t end up getting the credit but if was offered. In my case. The website quoted a wrong price and I fought it by saying that I would cancel the whole thing. In the end they caved and I got 5 nights for the price of 4.If it s a medical issue the airlines are usually very forgiving. This is a good reason to purchase the insur. for little $$.If you have no insur on the trip I think you can change the date for a $100 fee.I think in the end they will always offer something in exchange as not to lose your business.Good Luck.

I bought a ticket to Alaska to visit this girl, and then just days before I was going to leave, I found out she d been seeing someone else - for two months. I couldn t get the $500 ticket refunded, but I was able to use it as airline credit, so the next time I took a trip it was first class.
