It is approximately 30 miles between Del Mar and Chula Vista. Travel time, with no traffic, is generally 30-45 minutes. It also depends on where you are going in each area. Some suburban parts of Chula Vista are far from either the 5 or 805 freeways, so you ll have to add an additional 10-15 minutes of street travel.
