I seem to remember it s a little over 300 miles. We did it over the course of 4 days in an RV - you could probably make it in a day if you had to but it is so gorgeous I don t know why you would. We made the journey in May and the weather was gorgeous. A little rain but not bad at all. You have picked a great place to drive. Also, if you haven t done Hwy 1 down the coast of California I highly recommend it as well!Good luck and enjoy!
the coast highway in oregon is about 340 miles. ive done it a few times on a bicycle, but only bits and pieces in a car. at the very least, it s a two-day car ride, and that s just stopping for food. but it s probably some of the most beautiful coastline on the pacific other than the big sur area. i lived in astoria for a few years, and it consistently rains there into july. but once you get south of there, april and may is always hit and miss.you should give yourself maybe 5 days if you just want to hit the more popular coastal towns and a few side trips if mountains or lighthouses are your thing. though you could easily spend several more days if you decide to stop for some of the little attractions - and they re definitely worth your time.have fun!
