A long new york break and work? -

I went to New york at the beginning of the year an fell in love with the city!! I am wondering if anybody would know how I would go about finding out weather I could go over for 6 months + and how I would go about finding work, I work for the ambulnce service in the UK, and cant find weather they would take me on to go out with them possibly for the time im over there. or eve how to get any sort of job etc. all help appeciated

Well, sorry, but we Americans need all of our jobs right now, so we won t be too happy about you coming over here and taking one of them away from one of us, if you know what I mean.Besides, visiting here as a tourist is one thing, but moving here and taking one of our jobs is a whole nother matter altogether.
