Cheapest public transportation from New York City to Washington DC? -

Hi!!I would like to know the cheapest public transportation from New York city to Washington DC. THanks!!

Megabus and Bolt Bus are two very nice buses that will pick you up not far from Madison Square Garden (Megabus leaves from 32nd Street and 8th Avenue or thereabouts, and Bolt leaves from 7th Avenue and 33rd Street) and drop you off near 10th and H streets NW in Washington, DC, about a block north of the Metro Center station. I ve ridden both, and they are inexpensive, clean, and comfortable. Both offer WiFi. Bolt Bus has sockets in the backs of the seats where you can plug in your electronics if needed. The one time I used Megabus (a round trip), they stopped near Baltimore to pick up (or drop off) passengers. Megabuses are also double-decker. If I had to choose which one I d take, I d probably go for the one that was leaving around the time I wanted to go at the lower price.I suggest you use one of those, as the Chinatown buses aren t terribly reliable, and the Greyhound station in DC is even nastier than Port Authority and not in the nicest neighborhood. Greyhound is just awful.

Ahh...if you want to make a trip from New York City...you have to take what is locally known as the Chinese Bushttp://www.chinatown-bus.com/People who want the cheapest mode of transporation often take it, but I must warn you, that its not the greatest or most pleasant ride, if you have a bit more funds think about Greyhound.

Cheapest way to go between NYC and DC will be by bus. Check out the link below.Good luckNative New Yorker

Buses, without a doubt.http://www.dc2ny.com/?gclid=CImr7p-bu54Chttp://www.greyhound.com/home/It s a 4-5 hour trip, and will run you about $20-$40, depending on the kind of ticket you buy.
