How to get to berkely using BART? -

does anyone know how you would get from pleasant hill CA to Berkely Ca (the station nearest UC Berkely? Stanley hall to more exact) and which BART train to take , and if transfers are nescessary. Im new to BART , so if you y ou please explain. All answers are greatly appreciated

You get on the Bart at Pleasant Hill Get on any of them that are headed towards the following places:1. 24th Street Mission2. San Francisco Airport3. MillbraeThey are all headed in the same direction, but one might say 24th street mission at one time of the day, another might say San Francisco Airport or Millbrae at another time of day. It doesnt matter what it says, as long as it says any of those 3. They are all going in the direction you want. Do not get on any trains that say something other than those 3. You only want to get on one of those 3 trains. All 3 of those lines will bring you to the MacArthur station. Get off at that station. Dont ride the train the whole way to Millbrae or 24th or the Airport. Get off at MacArthur so you can get on another Bart train. Get on the Bart Train that says Richmond . Dont ride it all the way to Richmond, get off at the Downtown Berkeley stop.

From Pleasant Hill, take any train going to San Francisco. Get off at Macarthur. Take Richmond train. Get off at Berkeley station. Leave BART and walk up hill to campus.Or, Take any train going to San Francisco. Get off at Rockridge. Take northbound 51 bus to campus.Questions like this can easily be answered for you at www.511.org.

Look at the BART map. Each color represents a line. Since Pleasant Hill and Downtown Berkeley are not on the same line, you will have to transfer at MacArthur. The trains are identified by the last stop on the line. For example, the train going to Millbrae will say Millbrae on the front.
