Can I take the BART from Alameda into Downtown San Francisco? -

BART does not serve Alameda. However, there are several options for travel between the two:1. Take AC Transit Routes O, OW, or W directly2. Take the Alameda/Oakland Ferry directly3. Take the Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry directly4. Take AC Transit Routes 19, 50, 51, 63, or 314 to either the Fruitvale or 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART station and then catch BART

BART doesn t go to/from/though Alameda. Depending on just where in Alameda you re starting from, where in SF you want to go to, and when you re going (and coming back) it may make sense to take a bus to BART and BART to SF, or a bus to SF, or either of two ferries to SF, or a bus to eitherferry and then ferry to SF.You can find all your options at www.511.org.

The easiest way to use BART is to go to their Expanded QuickPlanner. http://www.bart.gov/index.aspxYou can type in the name of the station- or if you just have an address, the QuickPlanner will find the closest station for you to use. It gives you all the information you need like departure/arrival times and fares.Or if you just need to figure out how much it will cost to get to your destination follow this link to the BART Fare Calculator http://www.bart.gov/tickets/calculator/iChildren 4 and under ride free. Everyone else must have a BART ticket. BART fares are based on distance traveled.Want more

Well you could.. but you re going to have to stop at 12th street in Oakland then make a transfer and stop at Powell St if you wanna go to Union Sq.orYou could take a ferry to Oakland directly to SF Ferry, its cheaper I think its about $8 for a roundtrip whereas the bart is about $10 if not more.

no, only Oakland to SF.. take the bus from Alameda to Oakland- take the bart to SF.
