If I want to see the annual ball drop ceremony in the New Year at NYC, how many hours do I have to get to times sq. before the ball drop ceremony starts?I know the government only allow certain amount of people to get in, so I think I have to get there very early.

Ideally, you should get there before noon.

There will probably be people starting to gather early in the morning. You will have to think of some way to deal with going to the bathroom [I ve read that some people use Depends!], having something to eat, and staying warm. No way I d do it - I d rather be home, nice and warm, and watch it on TV.

I would go there and have lunch and stay till night time.
