Where is the closest place to find snow near Florida? -

were planning on taking a trip this christmas to see snow, were thinking somewhere in the Apps, but im not sure if it snows there. Does it usually snow in Tennesse, NC, or SC? and if there are ski resorts in the apps do you have to lodge at the resort or can you just choose to ski, is there any places that have free skiing...i honestly just want to see snow. so whatever you reccomend would be helpful !thank you :)

SC gets snow sometimes, but NC has a couple ski areas, they ll definitely have snow. You don t have to lodge there, you can just go ski for the day and stay wherever you want. The only free skiing is if you hike up a mountain yourself, but of course you need gear anyways, and rentals also cost money.You should ski or board for the day, get a lesson (there are lesson+rental+lift ticket packages). You ll have a blast
