Salary for cocktail waitress in las vegas? -

let s say a cocktail waitress works at the wynn, bellagio, city center, rio, etc. (the 4,5 star hotels) during day shift, what s the average they make a day if they work full time? I ve researched and people only gave bullcrap they make a lot kind of answers. I can tell. It doesn t sound like a high positioning job, but they make so much money. Every round they make about 10, 12 dollars and God knows how many people tip and how much they tip. Can anyone give me an approximation (please don t just make up a number, i want real data) of how much they make (min. wage included)? also, do they pull tips like the dealers do? how much are they taxed (i mean, the tips are cash, they can write a lower than actual number when reporting income and when govt. tax them)?i ve heard $75,000-$100,000, i ve heard some good ones make over 100k/yr, etc. I know it all depends, but I just want to know an approximation. a lot of people say beauty is an advantage and that i should go for it (and that my college degree is not worth as much as a cocktail waitress to be honest. as someone with a four yr degree and credential, i don t even make over 40k a year and pay super heavy taxes), but look at the old, ugly waitress (sorry but not to be mean) in caesars palace! it s a 5 star, world renown hotel yet...and i heard they make big bucks. i don t know. You are asking a question that has a lot of variables. Location, time, day has a lot to do with the amount they make. I overheard two casino executives talking. They commented that their girls were averaging $60K. This was an off strip locals casino. Several years ago there was a cable reality show called American Casino which took place at Green Valley Ranch. The High Rollers Area hostess make over $400k per year. She did work over 80 hrs a week because she didn t want anyone else getting her tips. That was the reason they even mentioned the amount. So there is a range.and you have to realize that working weekends on the strip at a major casino, being beautiful doesn t hurt, will net you the most amount of tips.
