Apex, NC - Pros/Cons? Best neighborhoods/subdivisions? -

I am looking at places around the Research Triangle to live, particularly close to Raleigh and Apex seems to show up on a lot of the best places lists lately. What can you share about it? If $ were no object, what neighborhoods/subdivisions do you think most people would want to move to in or around Apex? What are the politics like?

Eh...Apex and Cary are just suburbs of Raleigh. There s really nothing worth mentioning about them. Cul-de-sacs, strip malls, and bland chain restaurants. That s really all they got.If moving to the Triangle area, you can do better by choosing one of the more interesting cities like Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill. They have much more to do and have more personality unlike those bland suburbs.

I moved to Apex from Long Island 7 years ago and I ve not looked back yet. Great schools, plenty to do, great weather, and, as you mentioned in your question, Apex has appeared on many Best Places to Live lists. In fact, I just wrote a blog about Cary, the town right next to Apex today! There are lots of good links on the blog to help you become more informed about the area. You can check it out here:http://activerain.com/blogsview/1362505/cary-north-carolina-ranked-safest-city-in-the-southeastern-united-states-As far as subdivisions/ neighborhoods, there are many to choose from based on your lifestyle.
