Could someone help me with Ride-on/Metro question? -

I haven t been on a bus in three years. Do I need a smartrip card? Can I pay cash when I get on the bus? Where can I purchase card? How much is the fare? I will only be using it one night. Thanks!

You do not need a smart trip card to ride the bus, however it is slightly less expensive. The bus fare for smartrip riders is $1.25, while it s $1.35 for regular riders. You can pay cash, but be aware that the bus drivers do not give you change, so if you put 2 dollars in you don t get anything back. So make sure to bring exact change ($1.35) If you will be taking the bus frequently, I d suggest buying a card, but if it s only a one time thing don t bother. You can purchase smartrip cards in certain stations such a metro center, or order one in the mail. Hope this was helpful :)
