Chicago hotels near Riviera Theatre? -

I m looking for a hotel near the Riviera theatre in Chicago, preferably walking distance. I would also prefer not to be shot while walking to the hotel. I ve found a few hotels within walking distance such as the Darlington Hotel, Wilson Hotel and Aragon Arms Hotel but can t seem to find a review of any of them. Can anyone tell me if they are decent to stay at?

The Aragon Arms is about 5 blocks away through uptown side streets...stay away at nighthttp://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=hThis place is closest but the evening walk could be eventful:http://www.yelp.com/biz/dolins-louis-chiThe Wilson (Men s) Hotel has one good review but the others are warnings:http://travel.yahoo.com/p-reviews-518194The Darlington Hotel has no reviews but from the looks of it I don t think the customers have a computer to make one:http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=hThe Riviera is about 2 short blocks from the Lawrence Ave CTA red line stop. Why not find a hotel in a better neighborhood and take the el to your venue? I only know of 2 people mugged at night on your route.

Look at hotels in Lincoln Park - because Uptown really gets rough at night. This looks nice from outside, and they have a parking lot nextdoor. http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-349982-bIt s also easily accessable from the red line, so you could stay downtown and take the el. I actually take a cab there and the el or bus back. Depending if it s a weeknight or not; it s worth the cab back on a weeknight.
