What is Waco, Texas like to live in? -

I may be checking out a job possibility there and I was wondering about how different it would be from life in Massachusetts. I love gardening and the outdoors so I thought it would be a good move considering all outside plant life is dead for 4 or 5 months here. I was also wondering about how religious people are there since I don t really like religion of any sort.

Waco is a nice town, it is large enough to have most of what you need, but is not a big city. There is a good college in town so you can watch big time college sports. The country side is near by if you like to get out of town. You can garden most of the year, it is nothing like Massachusetts, Texas does not have a long hard winter. There are many religious people since the school is Baptist, but there are other religions too.I don t think anyone is going to pressure you into being religious so if you don t want to go to church no one is going to make you attend. You should visit for a week or so to see what things are like, rather than making a decision without first hand information.

It is pretty beautiful! I don t live there but I visit my cousins there. They say it is a good place to raise a family. If you want to find out more go to city-data.com. Good Luck!
