What is the best route from Durham NC to Washington DC on the day before thanksgiving ? -

85 to 95 is pretty much your only option...There aren t any highways and unless you want to take a longer scenic route you re stuck with that route. I would try to avoid hitting Washington DC during rush hour. There s a small window from about 10am to 2pm or else wait until after 7pm to get there. It s about a 4 1/2 hour drive on a good day, so I would assume it would be 5+ if you avoid rush hour. If you hit rush hour, ughh...good luck!
