Is it ok to rollerbalde downtown new orleans? -

i m bringing my skates with me but is it ok to skate around downtown and the french quarter???

yes it s possible but the road service varies and unless your a good skater i wouldn t recommend it.City park is the best spot, they use -to have a shop on magazine street that sells/rents them, don t know if it s still open.some parts of the levee are paved but it s rough surfaceit s sort of like riding a bike in the city, some people do it but you have to keep your eyes open and watch out for crazy drivers as well as pot holes

sure u can, it is not that hilly. much of the city is somewhat flat. some streets are good , others, well, not so much. a good place to skate would b around the superdome. smooth concrete and some rails and benches. i have never really seen security there that would mess with you. as long as u are not getting in the way of people. but how the dome is layed out, it is above the streets , so not to many people walk thew there. and plus, the mall is right there at the dome. so when u get tired or hot, or cold. u can just take off the skates and go in the mall and get some food and a drink. i would not reccomend doing it on bourbon street. well i would, but not drunk. well, i would do it drunk too. have fun.

No. Forget about rollerblading in nola. People will think you re crazy + roads are so bad you can t even ride a tractor. Maybe City Park but that s kinda boring. I ve been skating for 10 yrs before moving here.

Sure. Watch out for pot holes, brick streets and streetcar tracks.Edit: City Park and Audubon Park are both good areas.

audobon park off saint charles is real nice
