Can I compare Jamaica National Park of New York city with Con Dao National Park in Vietnam? -

What things can i compare between these 2 parks?

The Jamaica Bay Wildlife refuge (not Jamaica National Park) is a major feeding ground for migratory birds following the Atlantic flyway which is along the Eastern Coast of the United States. As I mentioned during your similar question about Central Park, comparing ecological sensitivity may be a key point of comparison. Are there are controversies regarding the placement or formation of your National Park? In the case of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife refuge, its importance to migratory birds conflicts directly with its nearness to a major international airport--John F. Kennedy. Hawks and other predatory birds have been employed by the airport to keep birds away from the runways and protect passengers. There have been dangerous incidents regarding birds sucked into plane engines and endangering the public. The wildlife refuge is also a major preserve for rare reptiles and amphibians, including the Diamondback terrapin which was nearly exterminated for food and ladies combs during the Victorian era. Many animals that have teetered on the brink of extinction in New York City have been re-introduced to Jamaica Bay Wildlife preserve and are thriving.Unlike Central Park, which is under New York City control, the Jamaica Bay Wildlife preserve is under Federal control.

First of all, the park here in NYC are not nationalized, their are owned by the City of New York.Second, there is no such park called Jamaica National Park in New York City. There are, however, several large city parks in the five boroughs (districts) of New York City. One of the most famous is Central Park. The links below are the list of city parks in each of the five boroughs of New York City.Good luckNative New Yorker

I live in Broad Channel,NY. It is located near the east end of Jamaica Bay. Jamaica Bay is under the control of the federal government, something called Gateway, which is part of NPS(National Park Sevice). There is a bird sanctuary about a mile away from my house that sometimes i will kayak to. There are Osprey,Cormorans and other sea birds throughout the sanctuary. But where i live is only one end of a large ecosystem. It stretches west from my house in Broad Channel, dividing Queens and Brooklyn for many miles before reaching the Atlantic Ocean. It also stretches east from my house toward JFK Airport and Long Island. In Brooklyn and Queens alike much of the land right on the bay is NPS property. I know nothing about Con Dao National Park but Jamaica Bay is very close to Manhattan, our busiest American city. Less then 15 miles away. Does that help?

nothing, Gateway NRA Jamaica div is a lagoon with an airport. they re nothing alike. please do your own homework.(and NNY, it is a federal park)

There is no Jamaica National Park -- perhaps you are thinking of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge portion of Gateway National Recreation Area. And you can compare anything you want!
