Excellent! I have been to Hobart a few times for different types of training. Great school and town. The people seemed to be friendly. Clean town a little spread out. About the average town as for shopping and areas to visit. The people I would say are about the same as any small town (you always have the scumbags that can ruin anything, just about any town you go). About 30 minutes to the south on I-75 is Dayton, (great shopping). 30 minutes further south is a brand new outlet shopping mall in Monroe. The job market in Ohio is pretty rough right now but there are jobs out there if you don t mind low wages. He won t be disappointed with the school. It is considered one of the tops in the welding field. I live 1 hour 15 minutes south on I-75 (north edge of Cincinnati). Good luck to you both! Happy Thanksgiving!(32 years welding - certified)

Anyone live in Troy, OH or close to it? -
My fiance and I are getting ready to move there so he can go to Hobart Welding Institute that is in Troy, OH and I was just wondering what the environment there is like? how are the people? rude, polite, loud, quiet? Are there any decent people around our age (21)? Also what about shopping, dining, and jobs? Do you have to travel for a good mall and resturants? If so, where? Thanks so much!!
