Amtrak will get you there on the 16th and get you home 8:35AM on the 21st for $164 ($82 both ways)you can go three ways coming north. two involve train 86 at 7AM. this gets to New York Penn at about Noon. then you can wait and hour and fifteen minutes for train 283, Empire Service that gets in to Syracuse at 6:32. the other is a three hours and Forty five minute wait for train 49, the Lake Shore Limited (overnight to Chicago via the route of the 20th Century Limited) for 9:41 in SYR. The third route is train 86, the 8:58 Northeast Regional from Fredericksburgh to New York, getting in at 2:20. you are then forced to take train 49.heading back, train 288 Empire Service; departs Syracuse at 6:05 PM. transferring at NYP for the 3AM Northeast Regional train 67 (NYP is the busiest passenger transportation facility in the country, I can grantee that there will be people there.

I need to get from Fredericksburg, VA to Cato NY or Syracuse, NY roundtrip? -
my fiancee lives in Cato, NY about 35 minutes northwest of Syracuse,NY and i m having a hard time finding the cheapest mode of travel between here where i li9ve and there round trip, i want to spend 3 days with her if i can, and leave anywhere from dec 16 on, and depart back for home 4 days from arrival, can you please help me find the cheapest way to spend time with her, ive checked greyhound i can do that round trip for like $181, but if i can find something better id be much appreciative
