Girl needs help---hotel question in houston texas? -

a family friend and his wife are coming over from the UK to houston for the holidays...i am 17 years of age and i was wondering if i wanted to go visit them at their hotel (by myself) would the hotel allow this?is there a certain age you have to be ---to be a GUEST in a hotel (without a guardian)

No, there is no certain age to be a guest. You can go visit with no problems.

If you want to visit them, that s just fine. Getting a room is a different story. You should have no problem. The thing to do is go to the front desk. Tell the desk clerk that you d like to call up to such-and-such s room (if you haven t already been given the room number). A desk clerk will NOT give out a room number to anyone. They ll give a phone number that will allow you to call them from a lobby phone. But, if you already know the room just walk into the hotel and go to that room.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Never heard of such a rule. I was going into hotels to visit by myself at the age of eight.

they may ask for ID if its after hours. Its best to visit accompanied by an adult

not at all. walk in like you belong there and no one will question you.
