Im going to orlando for the first time...Should I buy my tickets online or wait until I get there? -

Hi everyone. I am currently living in Mexico and me and my girlfriend are going to orlando for the very first time. I want to make our first trip memorable, so I am pretty nervous about getting everything planned. My first question is should I buy theme park tickets online or wait until I reach Orlando? Are there any discounts in Orlando that I might not get online. Also let me explain a little bit about my trip. I will be going from the 9th of January to the 16th, 2010. This is what I have been planning I would appreciate any suggestions. Day 1 (Saturday)- Universal StudiosDay 2 (Sunday)- Island of AdventuresDay 3 (Monday)- Sea World and dinner at Pirate Dinner Adventure. Day 4 (Tuesday)-MGM StudiosDay 5 (Wednesday)- EpcotDay 6 (Thursday)- Magic KingdomDay 7 (Friday)- Should I go to Animal Kingdom or Repeat a Disney Park?Day 8 (Saturday)- Repeat a Disney Park. Im 27 and My girlfriend is 23 and we are both very excited to go. I thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Help me make this the perfect vacation.

You will get a better deal on line for the tickets. Some places charge for shipping, but it is worth it. I will list some sites to visit and you can compare prices. Since you are going to do Universal the best deal is on there web site. Seaworld tickets are cheaper online as well. But since you are looking at only doing one day it will be the same if you purchased at the gate. And as for Animal Kingdom it is a must. Have the tickets delivered to the hotel it is so much easier then remembering them. Since it sounds like you will be staying at a hotel in the middle of everything visit orlando.com or google orlando magic card. It will list hotels that you can get discounts with. Also call the hotel you are interested in staying and ask if they have the magic card discount. If you have AAA then ask about that discount as well. Saved hundreds on hotels with the magic card.

Definitely online it s much cheaper and mor eoptions also if you are also looking for cheap hotels, go to CondoDirect.com I just go my room there for half the price as others and a suite also. Hope this helps

ness300 is right about the deals online. if you get into a package deal that makes everything worthit. I d keep my eyes pealed for tickets, hotel, a meal plans. those are the best because then everyting is prebooked. Especially because your not doing disney the whole 8 days. for 5 days in the park, on the other hand, it may work out better just to get the tickets when you get there. If you get your tickets in Orlando, they will rip you off!!!!!! Remember that its a torrist area. anything you buy down there will be expensive.disney tips::: USE FASTPASS-there free and they help cut the lines.STAY AT A DISNEY RESORT IF POSSIBLE- resort stayers get extra magic hours in the park after none resort stayers leave.IF YOU GET THE MEAL PLAN- you have have enormose portions of food, but you won t have to carry around your wallet because it will be all on your room key. (if you stay on premisis)DON T MISS THE FIREWORKS- they are amazing. they are not just your average fireworks. Definitly go the firework shows. DON T MISS FANTASMIC AT DISNEY S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS- Its an amazing show. Last but not least,HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!!!!!

I arrived yesterday with the following planCurrent plan is as follows: * 9th Epcot Centre all day * 10th Hollywood studio all day * 11th Wet and Wild ( may be half day or more ) * 12th Busch gardens Tampa * 13th Magic Kingdom all day * 14th Kennedy space centre ( plans of 12,13 and 14 can be interchanged ) * 15th Universal adventure all day * 16th Universal studio all day * 17th Others: sky dive, airboat etc + shoppingJust did epcot today. Thanks to various advises on the net, there was no crowd today and I am hoping the same for the rest of the week. We walked into mission space and test track with no waiting and could repeat them literally in continuation. As for tickets, I bought the 3 park universal on the net for $125At the hotel lobby there was a lot of bargains as they added pirates show to my disney tickets for half the price and there are a lot of similar packages.Disney tickets are same rate on net, gate and at hotels.( I suggest the 5 day option as they are just $3 more and you have the choice to do some repeats in the evenings on other days especially for the shows )Today being part of the off season, the gates were queue-less.

Definately buy on line! You can find better prices and better to be prepared than have some weird chance of not getting tickets. You re trip sounds like lots of fun! First of all Animal Kingdom is a Disney park and I would go there rather than repeating. It is a great park that has had new editions the past couple of years that make it even better. It May not have as much to do as the other parks, but definately one day s worth. It is a great experience you shouldn t miss out on. Anyway you have another park. You might think about getting park hopper for the last day so you can go see everything you missed. However this would cost a bit more and prevent you from getting a five day pass which would also save you money, so this may not be worth it. Great choice in picking islands of adventure our of the universal parks, it is a lot more fun. Sea World is great! Ride manta! It is so much fun! Have a great trip!

Sounds like a great itinerary. Having been to all of the parks on many different occasions I suggest that you visit the Animal Kingdom instead of repeating another Disney Park. You might be able to get some discounts online. Given the time of year that you are going you might be able to find discounts once you arrive. Check the websites of all the parks to see what they offer for multiple day visits (e.g. Park Hopper). Caution though: make sure that you but tickets from a reputable outlet and beware of people giving big discounts in exchange for participating in a Time Share sales pitch.
