Texans i need your help!? -

the wife and i want to move to texas, but we have no clue as to what areas are better than others. We both work for national chains and can transfer pretty much anywhere in texas.. so any suggestions? we are looking for somewhere not ghetto and just regular middle class america to start a family

If you want to live in a big city I recommend Houston,Dallas, and San Antonio. I believe San Antonio has the best nightlife and food. Austin is a nice city. Its big but not too big. There is almost 1 million people and downtown is really fun. There is almost always a concert going on.If you like the beach Corpus Christi and Padre are really fun. Lots of tourists though.

Avoid Dallas/Ft Worth, though some of the smaller cities smushed up in that mess are nice enough. As for bigger cities, Austin and San Antonio are both really great cities. Waco is pretty nice as well, though it gets overrun every now and then because of football.I ve heard great things about Amarillo, but haven t been there personally.

If you want to live in a somewhat large city but still have suburbia feel Cedar Park is really nice I lived there for 18 years and my parents still live there. Its close enough to Austin to pretty much be Austin. There are all sorts of lakes and things around. It has pretty good schools and a range of income levels. If you have more questions you can email me.

I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, which like LA, encompasses several smaller cities. We live in the Flower Mound area..great schools, affordable housing, low crime rate and growing! I would totally avoid the city of Dallas and Ft. Worth all together and look at the burbs. Come on down!!!

i would recommend san antonio, it s a good mix all around really. It has all the convenience of a big city, with the attitudes of a small one.
