Around 6 hrs. on I-5Around 7 h rs on 101City Limit of S.F. to L.A. county line430 miles approx
About 400 mi, if you go 580 east I5 south. Give yourself 8hrs to be safe. Be rested, as most of the I5 stretch is doldrums. Scenic 101 is a little longer and a little more technical, driving wise, but give your self 10 hrs. It can be in 8 if your a skilled driver. On 101 at Paso Robles, you can cut over to I5 via HWY46 east to trim some time, and avoid Santa Barabra and on but 18 wheelers like that route and it can be perilious too. Thats where James Dean wrecked!!
Since I am the first to answer, the scenic route (101) will take you about 8 to 10 hours without any rushing, ending at 440 miles depending on which part of Los Angeles you re in. The fast route (5) should take you 8 hours or less of pure boredom (no scenery).
i have no clue...
