Canton, TX - Is it worth the trip? -

I ve heard about antiques, animal and crafts being sold in Canton Texas, not too far from Dallas, but still a bit of a drive. I m just wondering if its worth the trip. Any one been there? Any places to visit you recommend?

If you enjoy arts and crafts, you ll love it. However, there is a lot more than just arts and crafts. It s worth going once to see if you enjoy it. Prairie Girl is wise when she recommends comfortable shoes. You ll enjoy it a lot better when the weather is cool and your feet aren t sore. It s a HUGE place and you ll have to walk a long way. It s hard to see it all in one visit, and there can be around 300,000 visitors each First Monday. Here are some reviews that will tell you more. You can find out about things you might miss if you didn t know they were there.http://local.yahoo.com/info-18672188-canhttp://www.gusto.com/texas/canton/shoppihttp://www.texasoutside.com/tgfwcanton.hArea Attractionshttp://www.millcreekranchresort.com/locahttp://cantonsquarebnb.com/attractions.hArea Restaurantshttp://cantonsquarebnb.com/restaurants.hPlaces to Stayhttp://local.yahoo.com/info-18675347-lonhttp://www.millcreekranchresort.com/cotthttp://www.sidestep.com/hotels-type-l288

I d say it is! Besides all the pavillions and carny type food, there are nationally famous crafters of everything from Horse Saddles to Bird Houses. I personally recommend visiting Don Wheeler on The Mountain in Canton at the corrective massage shop. They offer different kinds of massage and there s nothing better after a day (or half a day!) of walking around Canton. Prices are reasonable and the staff are great. Oh and try a fried Twinkie too!

Well Sam, go when the weather is nice and wear comfortable shoes, because it s a mighty big place. Sometimes you can find exactly what you re looking for and other times you d go home empty handed if it were not for the good deals on things you simply can t live without, even though you never knew you wanted it.

YES! i love it :)
