The LIRR and Penn Station need not come into the picture at all.300 Mercer St is at West 8th St ( Mercer) just 1 block west of Broadway Mercer St ends at West 8th St.From JFK, take the AirTrain to the Jamaica Terminal (Station D). Exit the AirTrain [at the turnstiles you will see MetroCard Vending Machines. Purchase an AirTrain + Subway Metrocard for $7.25. Then use it in the turnstile (the $5.00 Airtrain fare/fee will be deducted here). Proceed towards the LIRR, make a left and then go across the LIRR waiting area to the other side and take the elevator down to the lowest (subway) level. Enter the subway turnstiles using your MetroCard (the remaining $2.25 will be deducted). Go downstairs 1 level for the E train. Take a Manhattan bound E train to Queens Plaza, then go across the platform for a Manhattan bound R train. Take the R train to the 8th Street station. When you exit to the street walk 1 block on West 8th St AWAY from Broadway. Make a left on Mercer.St to 300 Mercer (should be only a few doors down)].In taking the subway, try to be at mid platform as the exit to the street at 8th St is at the midpoint.Note: If you are going to be making a return trip back to JFK you may want to buy 2 AirTrain+ Subway MetroCard so you ll have one for going back.Enjoy your stay.
i guess you don t want to take a taxiFirst take the air train from the airport. It stops at all the terminalsThe train takes you to Jamaica station Now you have two choicesTake the LIRR to Pennstation in manhattan about 8 dollars then take B or D to west 4 st 2 dollarswalk about 3 blocks east and you are therechoice 2 take the subway from jamaica station you will need to switch to any train going to west 4 st ( west 4 st is a major stop ) this will only be 2 dollars but will take longerHave fun in New York
The best way is to take the Airtain ($6) to Howard Beach. Without going outside and walking on the street like you would have to do in Jamaica, Change to the A Train ($2,25). You pay for both at the same time. The A train will take you to West 4th street where it is a few blocks east to Mercer street. If you walk along Waverly place, it is a five minute walk to your destination.
