How does me and my family need to dress in Ohio around Christmas, we have never been this time of year...? -

I have 2 small girls...2 and 4. They have jeans and long johns, socks, and snow coats as well as boots (not snow boots but good boots). Would this keep them warm? How should my husband and I dress? The same?? My mom says it is all in the layers but I am from Florida and do not have a lot of winter clothes or even coats...we never really need them! HELP!! Never been up there this time of year. I went last fall and it was cold then...I can only imagine what winter will be like especially as they expect snow!! Thanks all! Ah...also, we need to take our Boston Terrier with us who is 1 1/2 and 30 lbs...is this smart or no since he has never experienced this kind of weather??

Jeans are OK as long as you don t get them wet in snow. Snow pants are best if they are going to be out in the snow. The advice to dress in layers is good. Do you have sweaters or fleece? Wear a few of them underneath a windproof jacket and you should be fine. Your dog will let you know if he loves or hates the cold weather.
